The term student union should not be confused with labor or trade unions. THS (Tekniska Högskolans Studentkår) represents you as a student, not as an employee.

As a doctoral student, THS represents you in academic matters, ensuring your voice is heard in decisions about education and student life at KTH. However, THS does not handle employment-related issues, such as salary negotiations or workplace conditions.

For employment-related matters, such as salary discussions, labor law, or work environment concerns, you have the right to join a labor union, such as Saco-S or ST. These unions provide support in employment-related issues, including salary negotiations and workplace conditions.

Please note that THS cannot assist with employment-related matters—that is the responsibility of labor unions.
