KTH Hockey, also known as ”The Royal Blue” are a hockeyteam driven by driven students from KTH who practice the sport they love the most – ice hockey!

KTH Hockey was started in 2011 and is driven by students. That means that the association is inherited for each year where new and old players meet, exchange experiences, run the association and of course play and practise together!

Each year the team contains between 20 to 30 players and 3 to 4 goalies. KTH Hockey is participating in two leagues, namely division 4 and SUHL. Division 4 is a regional league in Stockholm.

SUHL (The Swedish University Hockey League) is a league within the Swedish Hockey federation and contain 8 student teams from around different universities in Sweden. The games are big events with the hockey and community in focus. On the ice the game is serious and prestigious, but as soon as the signal sound, everyone becomes friends, eat together and party!

To play in the team it is required to have some sort of prior experience of ice hockey and know the tactics for the gameplay. However, there are endless possibilities to work outside the rink during the games, whereas no experience is required only ideas and will to develop the association.
